HYTE Releases CNVS qRGB Intense Gaming Play Mat Along with Nexus Hardware Management Software
LOS ANGELES, CALIF., MARCH 21, 2023 - Creating an immersive and cohesive desktop experience with a fresh take on hardware control
HYTE, the PC components, peripherals, and lifestyle brand of iBUYPOWER, today, announced the release of CNVS, its qRGB intense gaming play mat in tandem with Nexus, its personal experience software designed as a high-fidelity solution for HYTE qRGB products as well as a universal hardware support platform.
“The HYTE CNVS expands your digital world beyond the screen,” said Rob Teller, Product Director of HYTE. “Softening the edges between the physical and virtual planes of existence, immersing you more deeply in the experience of life.”
Previously announced during CES 2023, CNVS boasts a 50-pixel qRGB lighting array framing the massive 900 x 370mm seven-layer gaming desk pad. With continuous lighting over the power hub and sans any stitching around the outer edge, CNVS will take any desktop setup to the next level acting as an extension to the on-screen lighting display. The soft polyester top layer of CNVS is water and stain resistant as well as provides a silky-smooth work space for precise mouse movements and minimal resistance.
CNVS is plug-and-play out of the box and connects via Type-C to Type-C USB cable with an included Type-C to dual Type-A USB adapter. Users can customize CNVS through HYTE’s personal experience software, Nexus. Nexus enables CNVS lighting to be synced to music, mirror on-screen content, be set to personal animations and more.
Nexus
Designed as HYTE’s high-fidelity qRGB lighting control solution and universal hardware support platform, Nexus provides users with a fresh and capable platform to coordinate and control lighting and monitor hardware performance. Featuring a widget-based interface for easy customization, Nexus has the ability to display time, media, image galleries, and real-time hardware health.
“As Bill Gates once said ‘software is a great combination between artistry and engineering,’” said Jasmine Tseng, Nexus Software Project Lead. “Nexus represents an example of this, as we utilize advanced hardware and software technologies to bring qRGB to light up your world.”
With an ever-expanding product library, Nexus will power HYTE’s current and future qRGB-enabled components to provide a cohesively brilliant lighting experience. In addition, Nexus is capable of controlling lighting on several of the major keyboard brands with weekly software updates planned to extend its universal hardware support abilities.

HYTE Releases Nexus Link Ecosystem of Products
LAS VEGAS, JAN. 9, 2024 - HYTE, a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge PC components and peripherals, releases its Nexus Link Ecosystem of products with a revolutionary new digital hardware interface for its “Powered by Nexus” components.
"PC builders of today want to fit all the screens, cooling, and RGB they possibly can into their systems, which far too often results in a tedious user experience filled with compromises," said Ish Patel, Tech Marketing Specialist at HYTE. "Our Nexus Link Ecosystem aims to deliver the simple, smart, and scalable solution that everyone has been asking for. A revolutionary new digital hardware interface that combines power, cooling, lighting, and sensor data into a single cable!"
Nexus Link devices connect as a Sequential Node Network, combining power, cooling, lighting, and sensor data into a single cable to reduce cable management and clutter. Within the Nexus Link Ecosystem, THICC Q60 and Nexus Portal NP50 operate as primary nodes while THICC FP12 Fans and LS10 and LS30 qRGB Light Strips operate as secondary nodes. Every node in the network is equipped with its own microcontroller, enabling two-way communication between the HYTE Nexus software and Nexus Link hardware nodes.
Interfaces
Nexus Link consists of two interfaces: Nexus Link Type-C, used to connect nodes via cable, and Nexus link Type-M used to magnetically connect nodes directly to one another. Legacy PWM fan control is also supported by Nexus Link with optional breakout cables.
AmpScale
Network expansion of the Nexus Link Ecosystem is managed by Nexus Link AmpScale, a real-time algorithm that monitors the amount of system network devices and protects controllers from over-current. AmpScale will automatically recalculate and distribute the available current for expanded power delivery and alert users when capacity needs to be adjusted.
THICC Q60
HYTE’s first AIO, THICC Q60 operates within the Nexus Link Ecosystem as a primary node with one Nexus Link Type-C and one Nexus Link Type-M channel to control an entire system’s worth of cooling and lighting through one cable.
Nexus Portal NP50
For customers wanting to enter HYTE’s Nexus Link Ecosystem without the THICC Q60, the Nexus Portal NP50 also operates as a primary node with three Nexus Link Type-C and one PWM channel to connect up to 18 devices on a single port and up to 54 devices across all three Type-C channels. Nexus Portal NP50 fits in any 2.5” mounting location and comes with a cover shroud to help organize I/O routing.
THICC FP12 Performance Fans
THICC FP12 Fans operate as a secondary node, connecting sequentially via Nexus Link Type-M channels or a legacy 4-pin PWM channel. THICC FP12 fans are 32mm thick and designed to excel as both a case or radiator fan with fiberglass reinforced Liquid Crystal Polymer blades for exceptional rigidity, durability, and aerodynamics. THICC FP12 fans contain a thermal and positioning sensor to ensure an optimal cooling configuration and come with a zero RPM mode to completely stop the fan blades from spinning for silent operation under light workloads.
LS10 & LS30 qRGB Light Strips
With a 20-Pixel qRGB array on the LS10 and a 62-Pixel qRGB array on the LS30, systems are sure to be saturated in immersive 2D lighting with 24-bit color depth. Operating as a secondary node, both the LS10 and LS30 connect sequentially via Nexus Link Type-C channels and attach to metal surfaces with ease via the embedded Neodymium magnets. Up to 249 ARGB LEDs can be powered simultaneously at maximum brightness by a single Nexus Link Type-C channel.
Pricing & Availability
THICC Q60 is currently available for purchase from HYTE.com within the United States and Canada for a starting MSRP of $299.99 USD. Global availability is expected in quarter one of 2024.
THICC FP12 3-Pack and THICC FP12 3-Pack with Nexus Portal NP50 are currently available for purchase from HYTE.com within the United States and Canada for a starting MSRP of $79.99 and $109.99 USD, respectively. Global availability is expected in quarter one of 2024.

The Universal Fan Control uses PWM headers on the motherboard to enable intelligent system-wide cooling across a single surface, transforming any PC into a harmonious part of any aesthetic gaming setup.
WINTER FEATURE DROPS
Owners of the Y70 Touch and Y70 Touch Infinite (Y70TI) cases, the THICC Q60 AIO, and future THICC Q80 AIO owners can look forward to the following in Q1 2025:
Y70/Y70TI – HYTE is working on a completely redesigned screen grid that makes the user experience more intuitive. Users can easily touch, drag, and place widgets directly on screen, while a new Macro Touchpad widget will let users launch programs, control system parameters, execute macros, and more with deep integration across many Windows games and applications. Cooling and lighting can also be controlled directly by using the Y70 Touch and Touch Infinite screen.
THICC Q60 / Q80 Trio - Nexus 2.0 enhances both the THICC Q60, and the soon-to-be-released THICC Q80 Trio, making them some of the most intelligent and capable coolers in the world. The Multi-Stat Panel feature lets users fully leverage the 5” Ultraslim HD display to enable simutaneous real-time monitoring of up to 3 sensors. The Auto Focus feature can also change the LCD screen face based on the currently-running application. This update allows system lighting to be paired intimately to the music and dynamically respond based on vocals, instruments, frequencies, and more. Nexus 2.0 will also feature media cropping functionality that lets users crop imported media within the software rather than having to create the correct size media with external sources. This will make Nexus 2.0 easier to use and more accessible than ever.
REFRESHED USER INTERFACE
Nexus 2.0 will feature additional customization options, new widget additions, and expanded functionality for existing and upcoming products. HYTE will also overhaul Nexus’ current aesthetic with an updated design language to enable the software to look brand-new, while making the menu styling more intuitive and consistent throughout the application. International users can also expect broader support with more languages available for its global userbase through the year.
PRICING & AVAILABILITY
